Valentine’s Day. It seems like as soon as Christmas is done and dusted, the stores are suddenly full to the brim with valentine cards and ever-so-cute cuddly teddies holding hearts.

Now, while you may not immediately think Valentine’s Day and math practice go hand-in-hand, I’m here today to try to convince you otherwise (stay with me here!).

This post is all about Valentine multiplication worksheets.

Why, of course!

This resource consists of 11 single-page printables for practising multiplication facts.

Nine of the worksheets practise a single multiplication table (2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s and 10s).

The last 2 worksheets (called ‘All Facts 1’ and ‘All Facts 2’) practise a selection from all multiplication tables (from 1 x 1 up to 10 x 10).

11 valentine multiplication worksheets with a heart theme

For each of these Valentine’s Day themed worksheets, the numbers 1 to 10 are represented by a heart picture like so:

Valentine's Day math worksheets table for numbers 1 to 10

To complete each number sentence, first decode the heart pictures in the number sentence and then write the answer in the box.

So, in the picture above, question number 1 would be 7 x 5, so you would write 35 in the box.

How can I use these worksheets in the classroom?

These valentine multiplication worksheets are great for classwork, homework or as an activity for a child who has finished their work and needs an extra activity.

Most children need to practise multiplication facts regularly in order to keep them fresh in their mind. These worksheets are a fun and slightly different way of working on math facts and kids love them because of the bright and colourful images.

If you don’t want to print out multiple colour copies, you could laminate colour copies of these worksheets and have students complete them with a dry-erase marker. This can work well for a math center. They can then check their own answers using the answer key.

Where can I purchase these worksheets?

These heart-themed math worksheets are available in the Math, Kids and Chaos online store or over in our Teachers pay Teachers store.
